The Smashing Pumpkins

William Patrick Corgan (born March 17, 1967) is an American musician, singer, songwriter. He is best known as the lead singer, primary songwriter, guitarist, and only permanent member of the rock band the Smashing Pumpkins. Formed by Corgan and guitarist James Iha in Chicago in 1988, the Smashing Pumpkins quickly gained steam with the addition of bassist D'arcy Wretzky and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin. Strong album sales and large-scale tours propelled the band's increasing fame in the 1990s until their break-up in 2000. in 2005 the group reunited. I got to see them in 2019 on their ''Shiny and oh so bright'' tour at AFAS live amsterdam on 11 June. I posted this artwork on my instagram page, and Corgan liked it. Wich makes this piece very special for me.
